彼はイーストマン音楽学校で、レミントンにも師事していたそうです。私が始めてビル・ライケンバックの名前を知ったのは、秋吉敏子ビッグバンドからでした。
同じ頃、ドン・メンザのビッグバンドでも活躍しています。マルチプレイヤー・タイプで１枚目のアルバムは８５年に出したＬＰにもう１曲入れてＣＤ化したものです。
このＣＤなかなか日本には入ってきません。私はアメリカの通信販売で購入しました。私好みのプレイヤーです。
